Was in site B18, had low voltage at receptacle. My volt meter was at 107v, using A/C would drop to 103v-104v. Contacted host, couldn’t find her voltmeter, she contacted ranger, after an hour, he came, check voltage, confirmed low voltage. Most all voltage on vacant sites in “B” section checked low. They let me move to “E” section.

We love Maumelle Park. It was the first campground we stayed at when we bought our first RV in 2012. It was and still is a beautiful park on the Arkansas river. In the past I would have easily given 4 stars and maybe even 5. That being said, I can give no more than 3 stars anymore. The park upkeep has gone downhill at a scary pace in the last 5-6 years. The park office is locked and business is conducted via a speaker affixed to the door. When we arrived the man inside was vacuuming with his back to the door. I had to beat on the door for several minutes to get his attention. They are constantly down to only one dump station (out of three). And for a park this size that is unacceptable as far as delays waiting in line to empty your holding tanks. Fire rings were not cleaned out from previous campers. Every time we stayed recently the trash dumpsters are overflowing. Granted this has been on busy holiday weekends. But if the park hosts know this, they should schedule an extra pickup. That would be the sensible thing to do. The last three times we stayed we have had a site next to dog owners. I love animals and have had pets all my life. My dogs have been trained. And if they barked excessively, they wore a bark collar. We have had the misfortune to have to listen to aggressive little Napoleon dogs who bark even when inside a camper at every passing car/person/falling leaf, etc. And the rules about leaving dogs outside unattended and picking up after your dog are completely ignored. In E loop this past week a German shepherd was left outside all day and evening. It laid on top of the picnic table barking constantly. The park hosts turned a blind eye (and ear) to it. We will continue to patronize this park, but if the rules are going to be ignored people need to know up front. I would definitely like to see park hosts being more proactive. We didn't bother to stop to check out. I didn't feel like beating on the door again.

Great location. Close to town, but far enough away to have seclusion and quiet. Great staff.
