The site was a perfect size for a 40 ft RV and a car. It was quiet and lovely.

Check in was to be 4PM while check out was 3PM. There were people checking in well before 4 the day we were to leave. We had excited our site and waited over an hour to get to 1 of 3 dump sites on our side of the park. We checked out at 3:30 and were rudely told of the 3PM checkout deadline. I explained and was told to dump earlier next time which is ridiculous as we waited for over an hour. There were several things happening that we felt the ranger should have handled during our stay and nothing was done. This includes a woman living in her car prowling the camp sites at night.

What a great campground! The sites are large and spread out. And the bathrooms and showers were along the cleanest and well maintained of ANY campsite we've ever used.

Nice quiet location along the Arkansas River. Close to area hikes and local attractions.

Extremely humid and buggy. I used to be stationed at Fort Polk, LA and this place is even buggier. There isn't any traffic control, so people drive thru the park way too fast (half of them aren't even campers). But if you need to be close to Little Rock, this will do.

The only thing that was lacking was the bathroom. It was clean but there wasn't any place to set anything while washing face or brushing teeth.

Excellent location and facilities. Unique "finger lots" threw us for a minute, but we're fine. Beautiful views of river, close to excellent bike trails and hiking at Pinnacle Mtn. More speed enforcement would be the only suggestion I would make (and I know it's a losing battle). Thx for a great visit!

This is consistently our go-to park for quick weekends (and even longer trips). It's close to home and the nicest park I have been to (and I've been to many). Beautiful scenery, well-maintained grounds, easy to get the big rigs in and out, nice staff. Campsites are for the most part spacious, though we got into a small one this time (D10, shares a driveway with D11 so it's shorter and closer- worked for us, we had both sites). A and B are on the water, E is very spacious and green, D is in the trees and close to the playground and parking lots (great for kids with bikes). I've not stayed in C or F, they are at the back of the park away from the water. Walmart and Kroger 5-10 minutes away. Nice hiking and kayaking areas close by. Couldn't recommend this park more highly.
