Maumelle is one of our favorite parks. We try to get there at least once a year.

This is a great experience. It is clean. The accoutrements are great. The Host / Hostess support is superior.Spacious sites. Right on the AR River, watch the barges go by. Great for individual solitude or family fun.We come here each year in a 5th wheel (about 8 years now, for a month or so at a time). Have never beendisappointed. Just bring your stuff (fun or business) and soak it up.

We stay at Maumelle Park several times a year. Most times, everything is great. This time, we reserved a site at the last moment, so our choices of campsites was limited. The site we ended up with (D4) was a mud pit. Other than the paved pad and the gravel picnic area, anywhere we stepped was either very soft mud or soggy soil. There were deep tire tracks in the mud where previous users of the site had been off the paved pad.
We were there 7 nights and one area right next to the pad stayed muddy until the 5th day, and even then it was still soft. I spoke to a ranger about the possibility of getting some gravel in that area and all he said was he would turn in the request.

We’ll kept campground. Restroom and showers clean, water warm not hot- but you’re camping!
