We stayed at Willow Beach two different times for a single night in April. Same experience both times; clean, quiet, and convenient. Highly recommend.

We arrived and left with rain but in between we had some beautiful weather and breathtaking sunsets. So much happy birdsong and nature abounds. The private toilet/shower combos were an amenity we were grateful to have. Only warning I'll give is keep an eye out for biting bugs (ticks, flies, mosquitos and chiggers.)

Beautiful, spacious sites close to the water. We stayed in site 7, plenty long enough for our camper and tow vehicle.

Great campground. Site 30 was FHU with easy access. Only negativity was little to no cell service.

Near enough to Little Rock for ease of access but far enough out for peace and quiet. Beautiful tall trees, lovely pond, quaint shop with most of what a camper needs, and friendly hosts to boot. All the full hook ups were level pull-through under shade near the pond. Truly enjoyed the stay!

Bugs everywhere on my Rv . I could not open the door with out the bugs flying inside. I had to cut my days off and leave my site after one night!
@DanielJ3350767 · Camped on May 11, 2023 at Campsite #F7
The park was nice. Mosquitos and gnats are a given this close to water. The ants were a bit of a problem though. The directions to my site and backing in were incorrect in my opinion. I went the opposite of instructed with much less angst. Everyone was kind at check in and when leaving.

We stayed here one night on our way to Texas. It was easy to get to and a perfect stop for us. We would stay again if we're passing through.

I would recommend calling ahead about seasonal restrictions. We had packed up the car with firewood and things to cook over an open fire only to find out there was a burn ban that wasn't posted on the website.

Our class a motorhome had broken down during our stay and we were having difficulty getting a tow for repairs. Called several times with no call back after leaving several messages about our situation. I finally tracked down the gentleman who was occupying the host pad at the gate house after a day and a half of attempts to contact someone.

Absolutely zero complaints! The owner was super nice, the bathrooms were well maintained and clean, showers were nice and hot, and it had a nice view overlooking the water. It also has a very nice playground. I would definitely stay there again

Only camped for one night. Pad was level with water and electric hookups. Although the park was fairly full it was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful sunset views over the water. Pads are well-spaced. This is our second time camping here while traveling to Texas from Ohio. Great place to stop. Close to Little Rock and the freeway, but isolated, natural, and peaceful, and for seniors, the low cost with a National Parks pass discount is wonderful!

Had a wonderful peaceful time. The firepit was full of trash which we did clean out before we left out although we didn't use it. But we left it clean for the next quests. I watched a couple from 12 let their three dogs relieve themselves as in pooping on someone else's site on 11 in the general walking areas of their camp and they didn't bother to clean up. When they saw me watching them only then did the man go and get something to clean them up but by that time he couldn't find the drop spots. The dogs weren't even on leashes at anytime. They did depart shortly after that. It's not right nor fair to those wonderful campers whom always keep their dogs on leashes and always cleans up after them. We enjoy camping there, this was our third trip there this year and most likely will camp there again before winter comes. We don't live but five minutes from there. The park is beautiful and one of our favorite places. It would be awesome if there could be even more campsites put in place since there is plenty of available space. Could generate alot more money. Thank you for caring about our feed back. Happy campers, the McGill's

A great peaceful camp close to Little Rock and the highway!

The camp volunteer Sharon was great, very friendly and helpful during our stay. She was promoted while we were there and will now be the full time Camp Host! I’m sure she’ll do great, stop by and chat with her or while she’s out and about, she’ll provide all kind of visitor and area information.

We loved our time away from it all but the ants was horrible. We had to buy ant spray because they were taking over our camper. We had a 2yr old and she was getting bit by them. We love willow beach but if you cannot get the ants under control we wont be able to come back.

I would happily stay there again. Bring your insect repellent, though, as the campground is on a narrow slip of land between a lake on the Arkansas River and an oxbow from a former alignment of the river.While there were several things wrong during my stay I'm going to give due credit: all of them were due to severe flooding from the adjacent Arkansas River a few months earlier, and they had made smart decisions in prioritizing the repairs. In that situation things like a broken picnic table or utility pedestal night light out are understandable. My only criticism was that the clearly new bathroom/shower block tended to be sweltering in the summer evenings as the exhaust fans only ran on the motion detectors.
