The campsites were very clean, leaves already swept off. The bathhouse was clean. The view of Millwood Lake at sunset was spectacular. There were not many campers so it was nice. BUT the constant road traffic especially from the log trucks was too much. They run about 18 hours a day. Loud engines and their Jake brakes made sitting outside annoying. Im not sure if its just this time of the year but the infestation of Asian beetles was a lot. I used the vacuum to get them out of the camper but again sitting outside between 1 to dark had us covered in them.We met the camp host who were the sweetest people ever. There is a small playground. There is also a boat docking area so if you have a boat you can park right near your camper. Several sites are pull through and some with covered picnic tables. The dump station is on the hwy 32, turning left out of the park and immediately right to the dump station. Over all we enjoyed our time but may not return due to the road noise.

Beards Bluff is one of our favorite COE campgrounds. There isnt a bad site in the campground. Our favorite site is #12. There a few pull throughs and the other sites are easy to back in to. We look forward to returning there in the future.

Great park. Quiet and clean. Have stayed several times and love the park. Shady and peaceful.

The campground was nicely situated, but very wet and flooded at many sites. Looks like there is construction going on as there was a bull dozer present. No one to greet me at the campground and no host came to my site. My site number was #6 and it was fairly level. However, something was wrong at the power pole - insufficient amperage which unfortunately I did not notice when I plugged in. This caused my rig to go completely dead at 2:15 AM and it was cold outside! I could find no one to tell in the morning and found a phone number on the web and left a message. This campground was not as well run as other COE campgrounds I have stayed at in the past.

It was a very nice and clean campground. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with questions we had. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful campground! We were just passing through the area on our way to San Antonio, TX and needed a nice quiet spot for the night. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It's a lovely place, with big sites. The electric 50-amp worked fine. The water hookups are a little oddly placed, so be sure to bring extra hose. Dump station was easy to use.Very clean throughout. Very helpful park host at gate.Lots of big trees and shady sites available; the one site down by the water was exposed and hot. In future I'd get one up on the hill in the shade.Alligator in the lake; also lots of birds including an Anhinga. Didn't go swimming but the water looked nice.

Great small Army Corps of Engineers park. The hosts Jeff and Sherri are great host and a huge asset to this park.
We had site 006 which is right on the waters edge and it was beautiful. Nice quiet family friendly campground. And we even got to see a alligator swim by as we were sitting on our patio.
Dump station is across the street from the park but large and easy to get in and out of. One of the best I have seen.

We have been to many campgrounds and this is at the top of the list.

The campground is right on the lake, beautiful and beautifully maintained. Sites are large, some have shades over the picnic tables. Park staff was very friendly. Sites 6 and 9 are closest to the lake.

Clean campground on edge of Lake Millwood. Nice-sized sites, but can experience rough weather during windy days and storms.
