A very quiet campground. Every site is nice with most having a view of the lake. This area is well maintained. Staff is very friendly.

Big rigs will be limited to a handful of sites and the turnaround loops are extremely tight. I book site 40 for our 40 5th wheel but found the teardrop shaped turnaround loop to be too tight to navigate (you can clearly see this turnround in Google Maps), if you can get thru the turnround the site is large enough for any sized rig. Site 24 worked for our rig but be aware that theres a tree very close to the end of the driveway. I made the mistake of going all the way down the road to turnaround loop and barely made the loop. Not only is this turnaround loop tight but its also situated on a hill (use caution). Site 24 had a great view of the lake and a nice oak tree for shade, you may not be able to deploy your awning due to this tree. The sites dont have water but there are hydrants sporadically located throughout the park and across from the dump station. I connected to the nearest hydrant with 125 of hose and filled my freshwater tank, the water has a very high level of chlorine. The dump station is set up for outbound travel so large rigs inbound needing to dump can drive to the end of the road and turn around at the boat landing. One bathhouse located mid park (it was clean), then a vaulted toilet near the boat landing. Staff were congenial and great to work with. Plenty of park roads for walking/biking. I didnt use the marina, boat landing or day use areas.

Beautiful campground. Very well maintained. They really go out of there way to make a great experience. The bathrooms / showers were clean. The camp hosts were amazing. Even offered us a dry tent and dry wood after a storm soaked ours. The front attendant at the gate was wonderful. Very personable. Gave me good advice on the perfect spot to camp. We will defiantly come back.

I scored a great site on the water, #24, which had plenty of space. Verizon cell service was fair, my video conferencing call was interrupted, hot spot slow.

Site 24 was a great site at this park! The bathroom needs to be updated. The local Fielding Station and Grocery is nearby for basics. We were happy to find live nightcrawlers there as well as snacks, etc.

I stayed in site #20. This site h a small problem with its blacktop due to tree roots that has caused it to buckle in a few places. This did not hinder with my setting up my 25 tt. In all, love this site with constant shade and a great view of the lake. Although not right on the water it was an excellent experience and I would definitely stay on this again.

Hickory Creek is a great park and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were on site 24 and heavy rains created flooding while we were there which resulted in us leaving 2 days early. The Camp Host and Rangers worked closely with us kept us updated to when we would have to leave. Their early notification gave us ample time to find another campground to go to so we could continue our vacation. Our money for the early departure was returned quickly.

I would recommend new shower's as the one they have is quite dated, however is kept clean.
