Stayed in site 53 March 16 - 23, 2023. The site was nice and right on the lake, which was beautiful! There were no trash cans anywhere in the park! We had to take our trash to service stations to dispose of and then on home with us. We also didn’t realize that there was no water hookup at our site. No signs or attendants at entrance to let you know to fill your tank before unhooking your camper. If the park had not been so pretty, the trip would’ve been a lot worse.

This was our first time camping at Hickory Creek. We liked our campsite, next to the water. We did not use the bathhouse, but did check it out and though small, it was clean. Our neighbors were not too close and the fact that it is a small campground and well spread out made it enjoyable. We were glad we were not camped next to the site that on Thursday night had light up and lots of people. The one thing that is needed is the signs on Cow Face road and the entry signs both are extremely faded and we missed the turn off to the entry because it was blocked by trees.
