This camp site is very nice as is the entire campground. The bathroom was always clean. The campground hosts were very nice and helpful. Took a drive to Alpine to see the elk herds and saw some bighorn sheep on the way there. Big Lake is always beautiful. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Arrived to find that someone had put a boulder in our driveway (# 11) which reduced our length in half. Mel and Cindy accommodated us by moving us to a first-come site.Could not have been treated better.This is our 3rd summer in Grayling. Very well maintained and very quiet at night.If campers have mechanical issues, Mel has been more than willing to try to remedy any problems when he is asked to.They are always present.We will be back next summer.The fishing was good too.Our Irish Setter wasnt happy with the thunder but the rain lifted the burn restrictions. The staff at the Marina is to be commended too. They too are so friendly and helpful.The 2 dump stations are easily accessible also.Weve been camping for decades and this campground stands out as one of the best.Each site is apart from others so there seems to be some privacy.

This was a pleasant surprise! The camp hosts were OUTSTANDING. It's such a nice breath of fresh air to come across folks who care about what they're doing, inform and enforce the rules, but are EXTREMELY friendly. This sort of hosting make any beautiful campsite actually FEEL welcoming. Thank you!

Mel and Cindy are excellent hosts at Grayling Campground; Very friendly and accommodating. Mel's dog Harley is one awesome dog. Thank you Mel and Cindy , hope to see you again one day!

Grayling campsite at Big Lake was absolutely lovely. The facilities were well equipped and clean and the campsite was well managed and pristine. The lake itself is beautiful and one of the nicest places we have camped. Can't wait to return.

I found the campground to be beautiful and peaceful. Our camp spot was right next to the camp hostesses, whom I thought were very nice and fun. It was great until the last night, when we left our very quiet generator running, which did not appear to bother anyone, as you can barely hear it humming outside of our space. The camp hostess woke up at 4am, which she had stated she had done the previous morning to go elk hunting, and when she woke up and before she left in her truck, she found it necessary to bang on our door and woke us up, and state very loudly that there are to be no generators from 10pm to 6am. Now had she been bothered by it during the night or even ever heard it, I know for a fact that she would have been over some time after 10pm to complain. She just happened to wake up at that time and left in her truck a few minutes later. This is a dry camp spot, there are no specific rules stating that there are no generators allowed from 10pm-6am that I could find. Needless to say, I was very upset at having been awaken at such an early hour, in such a rude manner. I'm not sure if this is standard behavior, but I will never go back there again. We are in our 50's, were very respectful, kept our camp site clean, no loud music or talking, put our fire out and went inside at 10pm, and don't believe that this was necessary at all.
