Chilatchee Creek Campground is absolutely beautiful; from the Spanish moss in the trees to all the wildlife you get to see like alligators in the Alabama River. The roads and campsites are clean. There are nice little trails going down to piers at some campsites and even a playground for kids. I just wish the bathhouse would be updated, as the push for water shower does not run water very long (only 7 Mississippi seconds) and it take a few pushes before the water gets warm.

Great stay. Everything went good. I would love to see the growth between campsite and creek cut down to have a better view. I know they used to keep it cut.

Check in station was vacant for the two weeks we were there on a big cat stayed in the bld day and night bet that smells good the windows havent been cleaned in a long time if you needed assistance you had to go to this couples camper and knock till they got up the fish cleaning station was not working we lost water for about 12 hours and the fishing docks are falling apart cant walk on them for nails stickingup this place needs some serious attention and it deserves it because to many people visit there

Large lots with lots of space in between. Large grassy common areas and clean restrooms.

Boat piers are in need of repair. There was a tree cut down laying across the path to one of the piers and host helped cut it up and remove. The grass is grown up on paths to piers and can’t access. The host is very helpful and weather was perfect!!! Had a lot of fun fishing and having fish fries with fellow campers. My favorite park even though work is needed.

Campsite 11 was great, unfortunately it appeared a large oak tree had to be removed because of storm damage. It would have provided additional shade from the 92 degree heat. If we were to do it over again for warm weather tent camping, site 12 would've been an excellent choice for optimal shade. All in all, we loved the campground and would return for a future visit.

Beautiful place. Very peaceful. A little neglected.

I absolutely love the park and wish I could stay longer. I was the only on there besides the camphost and my site had steps to a dock as well as a patio outside my camper door. It is out of the way but I was searching for Gees Bend so it was on my way.
