Highly recommend this camp ground. Nice camp host, very clean bathroom and shower, Everything 10/10. Few site has dock if you have boat or kayak very easy to access. And road is fine. Its country side so short dirt road and 2 potholes exit side road. It doesnt bother me.

Very happy they have a laundry room!! With rainy weather and moving from one campground to another and , of course, small space for extra clothes in our rv this is a deal maker!!! Thank you.
Several other campgrounds have closed their laundry room because of laziness, opportunity to not have to provide the needed services to give extra sanitary protection to the camper. Boo to Fortland Campgrounds..it’s management choices to not reopen their laundry!!!

We camped at Chilatchee Creek in December so there were very few sites occupied. We had site 15 which has a lovely view of the water and concrete parking pad. Table, lamp pole, water and electric utility nearby. There are steps down to the water and a short pier between the next site. This site is remote to say the least, so don’t expect to dash out to any nearby Walmart for forgotten supplies. There is a short section of single lane dirt road to traverse which might be more difficult in wet weather. Besides the usual camp activities, fishing, hunting and nature watching, do not miss visiting Old Cahawba the site of Alabama’s first capital. Excellent historical preservation and interpretation. About a thirty minute drive north into Dallas County.
