Bicycle paths are wonderful. The sites are mostly private with great trees or bushes surrounding you. Staff very nice. Likely the best Natl Park campground there is !

Easily one of the best camp sites I've ever been to. Just missing a shower.

Great National Park campground! RV sites have electric hook-up (a first for the Natl Parks). Very clean bathrooms, though no hot water or showers. Very private and quiet. Dark sky viewing was awesome as the park does not allow for campers to have outside lights on (which we liked).

Friendly people, lovely restrooms. We enjoyed the dishwashing sink! Lots of sun, so bring your tarp!

Schoodic Woods Campground is like a little slice of heaven. We stayed in A Loop, which is electric only and the sites are for tents and RVs up to 24 feet. The campground is very clean. The trees and brush are kept trimmed. The bathroom was always clean and supplied. There are a lot of hiking trails and biking trails. There are nature talks given by the Rangers. The Island Explorer Buses are great. They are frequent, free and go all over Acadia. We took the ferry one day to explore Bar Harbor. We loved our time at Schoodic Woods Campground and would recommend it. We would definitely do this again.

We stayed in Schoodic in September of 2019. We thought it was a VERY nice campground. I think the entire campground is either brand new or possibly completely redone about 1 year prior to or stay. It has a beautiful check in building and a very friendly staff. The toilet facilities were so clean, but no showers, like a lot of the National parks. The campsites were the biggest I have every encountered. We had come from a week in Acadia which was magnificent. The big difference between the two campgrounds is the trees. The younger trees in Schoodic were shorter which gave each campsite a very private feel. In Acadia the older trees were taller which didnt give as much cover between sites but it was balanced by the fact that there is a nice amount of space between them.Give both of the Parks a visit, you wont be sorry.

A summer stay at Schoodic Woods has become a family must. The Ranger station has all of the information you need and even some fun souvenirs and maps, so be sure to check it out. The sites are close to each other but the design and natural growth make it feel much more private than you would expect driving through. We have stayed at the tenting sites that have electric and that has been nice for some lighting and air mattress purposes. The tent sites we have stayed at do not have water, but bathrooms and wash stations are conveniently located (no showers). The fire pit and picnic table are perfect for enjoying the unmatched Maine night sky. There is a great hiking trail that leads you to the water and is not super technical, so all ages should be able to enjoy the experience. You can also drive the Loop that takes you to Schoodic Point, which has a science/history museum (check hours), some hiking, and the best view of the Maine coast you might find. You can see across Bar Harbor to Cadillac Mountain on a clear day. All in all, this is a phenomenal place to spend time enjoying all that Maine has to offer.

We loved our first trip to Schoodic Woods Campground, plenty of room between site and also trees separated sites. The bath rooms were clean, the roads were macadamed. The campground was not over crowded. It is a great place to vacation. Our experience at the museum had some really nice surprises; I was a Radioman in the Navy, the museum was a navy spy station during world war II, just recently shut down. While walking on the lawn we noticed some activity n the water, a seal was chasing fish, the water was turbulent never seen anything like that before. It was a 12 hour drive for us but it as well worth it.
