This is our second trip to Schoodic Woods campground. I love this area so much that I could live there. The campground has nice large private sites. The restrooms are exceptionally clean.

Very nice National Park Camp Ground - In fact one of the nicest Park campgrounds we have been at. Sites are very roomy, very long and isolated from adjoining sites. Bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this campground.

We love this park! It is so relaxing, and off the beaten path. The bike riding is amazing. We ride to sunset every night, and we ride every mile of the carriage roads so much wildlife to see. One of our favorite things to do is walk to Moose Island at low tide , we didnt want to leave again.

Loved it here!!!! We visited in Sept 2021 & stayed a week in a travel trailer so the lack of showers was not an issue for us. I have no experience with the showers that are available in town. Schoodic Woods is quietest, cleanest campground ever. The rest rooms are spotless. Even the dump station is clean & set up beautifully! The sites are huge & unbelievably private. Plan to indulge in the chicken wings at the Pickled Wrinkle in Birch Habor & try the yummy baked goods at The Bakery in Winter Harbor. In Sept. there was not much else to do but hike & chill ..... just the way I like it! While in the area you must visit Schoodic point. Bring lunch & a lawn chair & enjoy the show! Hike any of the trails, you won't be disappointed. Drive through the nearby by fishing villages for scenes of the beautiful Maine coast If you get bored you can take a free bus ride on the Island Explorer or a ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor or for the day. We've never done it but I hear it's a great little trip with very knowledgeable hands on board. When you return you'll be glad you decided to stay at Schoodic instead! Enjoy your visit!

We were not aware that you can't bring RV'S on the park loop road. Thankfully there is the shuttle. There was no firewood for sale in the campground, there should be to make money and to avoid pests being brought in. We had to drive our motor home to Search for a place to buy wood. The night sky was absolutely awesome!

Nicest campground in the National Park System. Plan your trip early because the only draw back is it needs more RV sites for large campers. No showers or laundry facility. Great for hiking, biking and sight seeing.

Absolutely the nicest NP campground you will find. It would be world class if it had showers. (Don't understand the thinking on that one.) Taking the ferry to Bar Harbour is a great day trip without all the hustle and bustle. We stayed a week at Schoodic and had plenty to do and see. Beautiful!

We love this fairly new campground. The campsite was perfect, and the surrounding trees and space between sites afford privacy. The restrooms were close and very well kept. We love visiting Schoodic and the shore is close enough to bike to. We loved the one way traffic to and from the peninsula.
