Campsites are spacious and private. As each site has a 20 amp electric supply there are no generators running so it is wonderfully quiet. A Loop sites are pull in with electric only. B Loop sites are pull through with electric and water. Bathrooms are clean and modern with outdoor space for cleaning dishes (no showers). Lots of hiking and gravel biking trails accessible right from the campground area. Can't wait to get back there!

Campsite was very convenient - we took the ferry over & back for a day trip to Mount Desert Island. You can park at the ferry. The drive around the peninsula was pretty - we could have taken longer but only stopped a few times.

Please, you need to have showers, even if they are cold and we had to pay extra. When you hike or bike the Frazier Point trail from the camp sitethere needs to be crosswalk and stop sign at that location. Car come speeding by and dont stop.. its dangerous for pedestrians and bikers.

Love coming here. Quiet and peaceful and away from the crowds. There are no showers but the bathrooms with flushing toilets are very clean. There is a lot to do in the vicinity if you dont mind driving and there is a ferry to bar harbor where you can pick up the free island explorer bus to go around acadia national park. Of course, you are bound by schedules and when it is very, very busy (and believe me, it gets very very busy), busses might be full and you have to wait for the next one. Island explorer also goes to schoodic campground.

I love going at the end of May and mid September when it is cool and there are fewer people. I take my bike and do the 12 mi loop twice a day!

Beautiful clean respectful campsite. It is In the middle of woods and just outside of a small town of winter harbor which makes access to necessity easy but doesn't feel anything like you're near a town. I do wish that covid hadn't changed the booking. You can not book for same day and need to use recreation.gov for booking like most now. But the staff were so friendly and helped my anxiety they answered all questions and were knowledgeable. Clean bathrooms and water for washing dishes i used it to fill my shower bag too. MILES of bike and walking hiking trails. We drove the Schoodic loop and it was a beautiful little ride. Pet friendly. I brought my 2 dogs and cat and I didn't have any fee just pick up after them. On site dumpsters and recycling. Lots of wild life. Electric hook up.

Site very beautiful, clean sanitary. But we dont understand why not having shower facilities?

We werent sure about staying in Schoodic but are so glad we did. Schoodic campground was excellent! One of the cleanest NP campgrounds weve stayed in, which are many! Bathroom was very clean and new. Large, quiet sites with a lot of trees. The park rangers and the site host were very helpful. We hiked the Buck Cove mountain trail right from the campground. Great out and back hike up to Schoodic Head. This trail has a lot of roots. We hiked other smaller trails as well. Drive the loop around the perimeter (E Schoodic Drive) AND be sure to stop at Me and Bens Dairy Creme (on the corner of E Schoodic Dr and Main St). Excellent ice cream in many flavors and a great value. Beautiful views at the overlook. Great sunsets at many points along the coast. We enjoyed our time here.

Campgrounds were very clean. Restrooms were very clean. We found the rangers to be excessively nitpicky and crossed what i would consider privacy boundaries. Example: My kids had skateboards sitting out at the campsite because we unloaded our car and were left notice to put them back in our car. Who are they to tell me what i can and cannot put outside my car?

This is a great campground. The A-loop has good privacy and easy access. Nice (mostly) level sites.

Clean, quiet campsite on the outstandingly beautiful Schoodic Peninsula. I can't think of a more safe and scenic place to bike with a family.

Love the quiet and non spoiled nature of the campground. Like that you can hike or bike within the campground. Rangers are always helpful. Cleanliness cannot be emphasized enough. Privacy between sites is treasured. Love the proximity to Schoodic Research Institute; went to a great presentation on the constellations.Winter Harbor is the quiet alternative to Bar Harbor but you still get a view of Frenchman's Bay when needed nearby.

We loved our time here. The campground is clean and well designed. The Schoodic section of Acadia is much less populated which suited our family perfectly. We biked around the entire peninsula and were treated to spectacular views.
