Great campground! Restrooms were always clean. I just wish the WiFi was more reliable in the park since as I only had one bar of cell service. The area is beautiful, great biking and hiking trails. I am looking forward to returning again.

Schoodic Woods is off the beaten path for most Acadia NP campers. It is a wonderful campground with nice tent sites. Bathrooms were clean. Note: cold water and no showers, but heated hand dryers. The Park Rangers were friendly, informative, always helpful. We stayed at all 3 Acadia campgrounds and this is the best, especially if you are tent camping.

All aspects of the campground were clean and well-maintained.

Schoodic Woods is a lovely campground and the peninsula has some good hiking and biking trails that link up with the campground. Unfortunately, several of the mens' bathrooms had one stall unavailable, perhaps due to the severe cut in federal funding that is needed for maintenance and much more in all our national parks.

Best campground we've ever been to. Sites are spread apart for extra privacy. Never feels overcrowded even when full. Rangers were very nice with wonderful programming for kids. This is the quiet side of Acadia. You'll love it.

Quiet and peaceful space. Tent sites are well spaced out and super clean! No showers and about an hour from Bar Harbor. Definitely ideal for the older camper. Would not recommend for families or kids.

The peninsula is gorgeous and we had perfect weather. The campground is thoughtfully designed and has all the amenities (except showers) one could need. Other campers were very considerate and everyone seemed down in the evening.

Overall, this campground is great and in the past has been very quiet. This year I picked this site next to the hike in sites thinking there wouldn't be much activity in the hike in site parking lot. Turns out folks were hanging around there cooking and chatting for a couple of hours one evening.

The best campground in Acadia in my opinion, the sites are spread apart a decent amount, its very quiet, my spot had electrical at it, the facilities are all brand new, and overall it was beautiful.

Schoodic campsites are the best in the nation for national parks. we have camped at many national parks and maybe because it's one of the newest it was layed out so good. bathrooms were clean but no showers. campsites even have electric hookup.

Quiet, peaceful, clean, and well-taken care of campground. All the staff were friendly, often smiling and waiving in passing. Top-notch.

Campground was spacious and spot felt quite secluded. Worth the extra time to get into the main park each day. Buses worked great to get around but since we were a few weeks after the main season ended the ferry had limited hours. Would love to stay here again!

Our visit to Schoodic Woods Campground was our first stop on our Acadia National Park adventure. It was the perfect start to our trip! The campground is new and the facilities are wonderful (I just wish there were basic showers...). We hiked a majority of the peninsula and spent every evening on Little Moose Island. You can only walk to Little Moose when the tide is low. It was so much fun! There is a special registry for individuals who make the trek to the island. We watched for eagles on nearby islands, picked blueberries, and enjoyed the hiking. We also enjoyed our time at the Schoodic Institute. Our daughters (ages 6 & 9) enjoyed Junior Ranger programs there. We enjoyed Schoodic Peninsula so much more than camping in the Bar Harbor area. We compared that camping experience to Times Square after leaving the idyllic camping at Schoodic! We would camp there again in a heartbeat!
