Schoodic Woods is one of the best laid out campgrounds I have ever visited. Sites are large and private, the bathhouse is new and very clean, just no showers. To find sites with both electric and water in a National Park campground that is not ran by a concessioner is wonderful.

This is the only place I want to camp now. Beautiful and quite. Wooded between sites.

There are a lot of positive reviews for this campground for a reason. The rangers are friendly and the sites are very nice. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by DonnaLee and she gave us a great run-down of hikes and sights around Schoodic. After experiencing the crowds of Bar Habor, this side of Acadia is a true gem. I could have easily spent five days here doing exploring and relaxing at the point. This side of Acadia is certainly worth the drive.

The best campground in whole country. The design is magnificent, the grounds are beautiful. Serenity is the key function of this park. We would live here if we could.

Wonderful experience and wonderful staff...Cleanest campground I have ever been to The only bad day we had was the day we had to leave...Only able to get 4 days in a row.Several empty sites but they were paid for and Schootic does not open up no show sites..

Beautiful, tranquil campsites. Very quiet. Note that the campground is one hour drive from the main Acadia NP (and Cadillac Summit!). But great place to park it for a few days and enjoy the scenery.

Loved this campground and area. So very pretty, quiet and private. Grounds are well maintained and everything convenient. Highly recommend

Spacious campsites with long pull-throughs in a beautiful setting. Of the twenty National Parks that we camped in during 2019 this was definitely the cleanest. The local trolleys were a great feature for our RV venture also. I only wish that our trip we made over to the Mt Desert side of the park had been so delightful. Over there we stood in line for buses everywhere we went. It would take three buses before we could get on. Park assistants did nothing to keep the lines organized. I'm from Maine. I knew better than to attempt Bar Harbor in August.
