Schoodic is the best! We loved being away from the crowds of people. Great trails and tide pools. The ranger was fantastic and really skilled with communicating with our children. Highly recommend any programming at the Schoodic Institute. We went to hear the presentation about tide pools, and it was OUTSTANDING!

Loved camping here. Very peaceful and relaxing. Campsites are very private and we could hardly see any other campers except from the road. Bathrooms were very nice and clean.

This is a lovely, quiet, clean campground. The hosts helped immediately when our electrical outlet didn't seem to work. (It DID work; we just didn't quite understand the printed instructions for use, which could've been clearer.) The hikes are well-marked and the bike trails are pristine.

Lovely and quiet! No showers for the tent campers but it was worth it for one night!

Such a beautiful place! Love the quieter side of Acadia with its challenging trails, crashing waves, starlit nights and such quiet. What a perfect place to relax and recharge!

Beautiful campground. Its wonderful that they attempt to promote a dark sky environment; now if it could only be more respected by the folks camping. Please campers, be respectful and camp dark and quiet. Facilities very clean. Great bike trails.

Beautiful campground. Very well maintained. No showers. Park encourages quiet camping and keeping lights off for night sky photography, however, not everyone understands. People love their cell phones and car alarms (beep beep honk, unlock. Beep honk honk lock all night long) WTF. Schoodic is quieter and has more utilities than Blackwoods. Hiking and biking trails. From campground, Buck Cove Mountain Trail to Blueberry Hill, then grab the free shuttle back to the campground.

To be honest I am torn for leaving a review... that being said this is one of my top 10 favorite campgrounds in the US. There I said it, its the best kept secret of Acadia National Park. The selfish me doesn't want others to know how special this place is but Schoodic is just too good not to share. In all seriousness this is a fabulous campground. It is about an hour drive to the main park which I don't mind. If you stay here be sure to check out Lunch on the Wharf in Corea, they have the best prices on Lobster around and you wont find a better meal! The Rangers and volunteers were awesome! Thank you Acadia and Schoodic for an amazing time
A beautiful secluded campground! I recommend bringing your bike if you have one. The sites are spacious and quiet. While there are no showers, the restrooms are very clean. They also have a station for dishwashing.

Schoodic Woods was a beautiful place to camp. Very clean, quiet and easily accessible. Such a nice change from busy, busy, Bar Harbor.
Trails were not great for bikes. Too much loose stone.

We enjoyed our stay at Schoodic Woods! The campground and its facilities were clean and quiet, and the park rangers were helpful resources when we were deciding what parts of the park to visit. Schoodic Point is a beautiful place to watch the sun set over the ocean!
