The sites are nice and big, quiet at night. The only complaint we have is when reserving more than one site during our stay, we had to leave one site by 10 and go in the parking lot until noon before being allowed in our other site even though we know the site we were moving to hadnt been used the night before and they didnt do anything to the site before we moved there. Weve stayed at other national parks and COE campsites and Schoodic is the only one that make us waste a good art of the day waiting in the parking lot to move to a new site.

What a great campground! Clean, quiet, friendly! Amazing location and not terribly tough to get to MDI via back roads! I cant wait to go back!

Our campsite was great, and we wouldnt hesitate to stay in any of the B loop sites.

This was an outstanding destination for anyone who appreciates quiet and nature. We hike a few of the trails and found them to be sparsely traveled and very enjoyable. While we were told that the weather was warmer than usual, we had an exceptional time during our stay and even enjoyed a bike ride on the trail that was provided (lots of loose gravel with some harder packed areas). Highly recommend to anyone who loves nature.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful places on the planet !!! Rangers and volunteers alike were helpful and knowledgeable about the entire area!Cannot wait to return next year

Loved it. Schoodic has moved to the top of our list for camping. The campground is well laid out, nice large sites. Very private.

Everyone in the offices were very friendly helpful. The volunteers were amazing with all the information they had to offer both verbally and in printed form. The facility was gorgeous. The park was more than beautiful.

Schoodic Woods campground is simply amazing. We explored all over Schoodic before heading over to the main park and honestly it was just as beautiful but without the insane crowds of tourists. The landscape and views are unreal and you will basically have the place to yourself. The campground has HUGE private pull-throughs and nice restrooms. The Anvil hike is amazing, nice and short but challenging. The only cons I can think of are the total absence of showers, no hot water at the dish station, and the odd ban on string lights even if they are only hanging from your camper (which we learned about the hard way, lol). I recommend picking up firewood from one of the locals before heading in, load up on groceries in Ellsworth on your way since there are few stores, and go get a cone at Me and Ben's Dairy Creme. Also bring a telescope if you have one since there is zero light pollution.

This campground is nearly perfect. Its spacious and beautiful. Enjoy the stargazing opportunities at night and the quietness. The people and grounds are great through and through. Great ample pull through sites makes this nice ideal to stay here wish there was availability for us to stay longer. The amenities are all great and the bathroom were extremely clean. The bus is great service and easy to get you around Schoodic. Would recommend for a stay in Acadia.

Great campsites, note that while it is not posted I was told skateboarding is not allowed because I might get hit by a vehicle while all other forms of transportation are legal. Frustrating because I am more capable of not getting hit by a car than my 3 and 4 year olds riding their bikes.

This is the quiet side of Acadia. The campground is first-class; it is new and all spots are good with mainly pull-throughs. I was there in late September and loved the trails and road, with little traffic.

Don't visit here unless you enjoy wonderful walking and biking trails, nature and peace and quiet! The Park Rangers are happy to talk to you and answer any questions that you have. The LLBean sponsored bus stops outside the visitor center several times a day to shuttle you around the Schoodic area. You can even take the bus to a Pier to grab a Ferry to transport you to Bar Harbor to tour Acadia National Park. We have stayed twice in the B-loop sites with water and electric hookups. The Bathrooms were immaculate and the dump station convenient. Our fellow campers were courteous and friendly. I can't say enough good things about this campground. Will definitely come here again some day.

This is a beautiful new campground for Acadia National Park. The reception area is very handsome and inviting, the staff were excellent, the sites were spacious and private and the bathrooms were new and clean. We were worried that it was a long drive to get over to Acadia park itself so we took the passenger ferry out of winter harbor. It was a great part of the adventure and enjoyable in itself. The bus service within the park was outstanding. All of this made for a hassle-free experience. We also spent a day exploring the peninsula surrounding the park which was virtually empty and so very relaxing. I would highly recommend staying here to avoid the crowds at the main park and enjoy this beautiful new location.
