Our experience at Acadia National Park Schoodic Campground was great! The campsites were spaced allowing vegetation and more privacy. The Bathroom were new and kept very clean. We didn't utilize the the bus system but drove or walked to the trails and scenic points of interest. It is a great campground for bicycles.

This is a beautiful campground. You can go for walks/hikes and bike rides right from the campground. It is very quiet and peaceful, have the best night sleep here then even at home.

Lovely well spaced quiet campground, with trails and other activities close by. Will certainly camp there again.

We had a great trip. We had a great site and it was close to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were definitely one of the cleaner bathrooms. We enjoyed a ranger talk at the amphitheater. The town just up the road is full stocked with what you need for a quick trip to the store and firewood. During our registration process there was a nice table set up with everything you could need to know about the area. The cell service was hit or miss just depended on the time of day. Our site was nice and private for us. We had people on either side of us but never had issue with noise.

Camp hosts and rangers were very helpful and answered all our questions about Acadia. Bathrooms and dishwashing stations were incredibly clean, and our campsite was quiet and private. My only wish is that there were showers at the campsite. I would definitely recommend camping here.

No showers, one hour out from bar harbor. Things to note.

Having camped in almost 40+ national park campgrounds, Schoodic is one of our favorites (even though it is in our home State). We try to visit at least once or twice a year and have nothing but praise for the facilities and staff. The campsites are well maintained and truly beautiful. The bathrooms are very clean as well. Wifi works for us on most sites. Paved access roads make for great evening walks with our dog. Access to the ocean front is convenient and a beautiful ride.Looking forward to their opening in 2020!

The campground is clean and well maintained. Despite being close together, the sites are quite private. There are excellent hiking and biking trails (the bike trails are wide and graded--suitable for beginners and families) that are accessible directly from the campground. Many sites have electric outlets, which makes charging devices and use of small appliances possible (air mattress inflator, electric teakettle, etc.). Do bring everything that you need and don't expect a hot shower on-site (they are available nearby).

We loved staying at Schoodic woods. Lots of biking, breathtaking views. Clean amenities. Excellent restaurants within biking distance of the camp ground. We used the Schoodic ferry to bar harbor for day trips. Took our bikes and had ability to access all of the fun in bar harbor and trails in the main area of the park. When we got tired from biking/hiking, we were able to load our bikes onto the free park shuttles to take us back to bar harbor. Great experience! Cant wait to go back!
