We always enjoy our stays at Schoodic Woods. If we could stay more than 14 nights during a season, we would snap it up. The campsites are well maintained, very private, and generous in size. The trails lead to breathtaking views, and a visit daily out to the Point is a must. The Rangers are always very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Im afraid of giving such a high rating as I dont want more people to fill up the campground.

The campground was nice and clean and quiet, and it was easy to check inIt was hard for us to find the address we had didnt find the Campground and took us down narrow side streets near town were we couldnt turn around a pickup and camper and when we got to the park road there was No Campground signs so after a mile we turned around in a woods driveway and went back out looking and asking people Campground was! The Park needs to put up Better Signs and the address was a campground Driveway not a mailing address!

Great level pull thru, level site in nicely wooded site. First time I have visited & explored this side of Acadia National Park. Very nice & not crowded.

Schoodic woods is a perfect destination for an extended vacation campsite. There are plenty of pull-through sites that accommodate large RV's. Hiking and biking trails can be accessed directly from the campground. The distance between sites is enough to offer some privacy and space to relax. The only downside is not having a shower facility.

I so surprised at the size of the site as well as the privacy from other campers . We were there the night before they were closing for the season. Check in staff were wonderful and even provided us with extra firewood and told where we could get fresh lobster which we cooked over the campfire . It will be a memory that will definitely be one of our best !
Thank you

The sites are nicely private in a beautiful woods. The Schoodic peninsula is gorgeous and not as busy as the Bar Harbor part of Acadia National Park. Easy to get to the other part of the park & great to come "home" to.

Our campsite was really nice! Actually ALL the campsites look really nice. Lots of well maintained trails for hiking and biking. Close enough to Bar Harbor to enjoy all that the area has to offer but far enough away to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.

Reluctant to share how incredibly awesome this campground is. Had enough trouble trying to snag a reservation. But it is truly magnificent!

This campground is so nicely planned - the sites are private and the park is so quiet! We attended a program on Habitats targeted towards Junior Rangers - it was excellent. Tide Pooling, hiking and bike riding were how we filled our days. We saw 2 porcupine near the Schoodic Institute Welcome Center. Go to Tidal Falls to see lots of Sea Stars at low tide.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were only able to stay for two days because the campground was booked up, even though we reserved months in advance. Suggest you reserve well in advance of your trip. We did not get to experience everything we would have liked to due to our short stay.
