Duck Harbor is so wonderful, Id rather not encourage more campers to compete for the same spot. Maybe build just one more site. Love staying there.

Absolutely gorgeous, even in the rain! But man....those mosquitoes. We've done loads of backpacking and camping across the US and this is the worst the skeeters have ever been (especially for mid September!). We doubled up on picaridin and DEET, and even so we ended up with bites on our heads, fingers, and ankles. I definitely recommend mosquito netting.

Campsite 4 was clean. Not much loose wood for campfires. Consider bringing handsaw .

Stayed here before the ferry goes to the campground and it was a beautiful place of solitude with your friends.

This place is beautiful and fairly secluded. Dave, Dave and Allison are super cool rangers and excellent caretakers/hosts. It's not for everyone, but if it's for you Duck Harbor is the place to be.

Tons and tons of mosquitoes and primitive site. But we loved it. Not for the feint of heart....only true Mainers need apply.

We had the most epic time at duck harbor!! We got there on the 11 AM ferry, set up camp, and hiked all over the island. What an amazing island!! We loved that firewood was provided, and the rangers were very nice and helpful. This is one of the best places I've ever camped in my life. Thank you for an amazing experience!
There had just been a big rain before we got there so things were a little wet and muddy but the hiking on the island is fantastic!! Nice shoreline hikes with incredible views!! Well worth the trip!

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
