Generators should be discouraged at this campground. One generator can disturb the peace for many sites because of the way the campground is configured. Our neighbor ran his generator for over 2 hours at a time from 6 pm to 9:30 pm (when we asked him to turn it off) and then again from 6 am - 9 am. Very rude!

Beautiful ponderosa pine campground!

The Junction Creek Campground was quiet, clean, and peaceful. Probably one of the cleanest vault toilet I've ever been to - and I've seen a lot. We stayed in Loop C, site 6 and it worked great for our large tent. The majority of the campsites were very spaced out and beautiful in the pine trees. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience. The campsite was beautiful and impeccable -- we did not find one small piece of litter as we have in some other campsites. The bathrooms were among the cleanest public bathrooms I have ever used. The crew that manages the campground clearly runs a tight ship.We visited in September after school was already in session, and the campground was about 25% full, which made the experience even better. We had a great 8-mile hike along the Colorado trail to Gudy's Rest up on a ridge with a fantastic view. Not too many people on the trail. The trailhead is about 5 minutes (driving) down the road from the campground. We loved it and would recommend it.

Great location! The Campsite staff were very nice. Beautiful riverside walk to the cute western town. We enjoyed Orvis Hot Springs and the short hike to Cascade Waterfall. Highly recommend!

Place was beautiful off the beaten path. Quiet. Near Colorado Trail allowing for unlimited hiking. Went into town and rode narrow gauge railroad to Silverton. Look forward to returning in near future.

The hosts were super friendly. They cross all the T’s and dot all the I’s. We were even invited to attend a string quartet during our stay. Very clean toilets and sites.
