Overall, this is a nice campground situated beside of the river. There are a couple of issues to beware of. One, there is a cattleguard on the road next to the campground that is very noisy and the road is heavily trafficked. The noise of vehicles hitting that cattleguard can be alarming. Two, the campground is really tucked into the canyon and doesn't see direct sunlight until later in the morning. We were there Labor Day weekend and with the cooler weather and large amounts of rain we were receiving, this was a real issue trying to warm up and dry things out in the morning. Aside from that, the campground is pretty and the sites and facilities are well maintained.

Make sure you bring insect repellent and extra toilet paper. The Gold Pan restaurant has great food and if you get a chance hike up to the waterfalls which is about 4 miles. If you bring an animal sure to keep it on a leash leash
