Site #19 (non-electric) was very nice, offering a pretty level parking spot, a nice tent pad, and some shade with good privacy on the entrance door side for RVs. The campground seemed well-maintained and managed by the camp hosts, with access to bathrooms and showers. My only complaint is that people tend to drive their vehicles too fast through campgrounds like this with limited sight distance and children running about.

This is our all time favorite campground in Colorado. Thank you so much. The campground hosts this year were first class and so nice and helpful. We appreciate all they do. There are a lot (many many many) of outside campers coming into this campground and using the shower and bathroom facilities. Typically in the morning the cars are lined up outside the bathroom. This makes it difficult for the campers at the campground and also for the campground hosts who have to continuously clean up after them. The outsiders are supposed to pay an $8 dollar fee to use the showers but I could see inside the small metal box where they are supposed to put money and most never paid at all. Maybe limit outsiders to early afternoon hours not during peak times (mornings) when folks in the campground use the bathrooms/showers. They need to pay before they take the shower. Or do not let outsiders use the bathrooms. Thank you. Bruce and Marianne Marsh

Most amazing campsite with great amenities! Hiking trails directly from the site and a quick ride to the gondola to visit Telluride. Highly recommend this campground!

All good except women's bathroom needed maintenance - sink clogged, unacceptable shower water pressure

Loved this site. Hot shower, good people and lovely location. Only 7 miles to the free gondola, at the Village, for a visit to the town of Telluride. Hiking, shopping, restaurants all in a wonderful environment.

We really liked Matterhorn location and beautiful vistas. We stayed 2 nights in July. Well maintained, nice bathrooms with flush toilets. Hiking trail that leads to FS road where you can hike to two lakes from the campground. We drove to good fly fishing on the Delores River and into Telluride. The only downside to our visit was an incessantly barking dog two sites over and the camp host's dog who was off leash and tried to bite our dog that was on leash. Guess the rules didn't apply to her?

Matterhorn is such a nice and quiet campground that has plenty of space between each site. Perfect location. Camp hosts were fantastic too!

Great camping, horrible camp host. The Camp Coast was never around during the day, and was not helpful, was downright right rude!

Matterhorn is a great campground! Karl is a fantastic host! The bathrooms are always very clean as is the rest of the campground. The only downside is that it is close to the road, but there’s barely any traffic at night. It’s only loud during the day. We stayed here in a regular site with our pop-up and three kids. we didn't need to level the camper. The sites seem really private will all the plants and trees, with a few exceptions. Even though our site was in the middle of the loop (19), we didn't feel like we were that close to people. We would definitely stay here again, but would try for sites 27, 20, or 2.
Wonderful place although a bit sites are bit close to each other. Our next door neighbors insisted on bright lights and talking for 6 straight hours towards midnight. Had to report the inconsiderate dudes. But, what a place.... enjoyed my times with college aged kids. Hiked everywhere including around this campsite.
The views are great. The sites are separated well. Very clean. Mountain Village is near by. A great place to visit. It has a gondola you can ride for free to. Telluride.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
